"I love this one. Also loved finding out there is a Crow's Landing."

"My mom related this with "boys" instead of "dogs", with respect to getting work done. She was born in 1929 and grew up in Indianapolis. This page has three citations for the "boy" variant, one from 1930: http://www.answers.com/topic/two-boys-are-half-a-boy-and-three-boys-are-no-boy-at-all Also see this entry from the Oxford Dictionary of Phrase and Fable: http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1O214-boys.html"

"Walter, that's great wisdom. Of course with today's popular work ethic and lack of sense of responsibility, it's easy to apply the same RoT to a lot of grown men out there. As for the actual RoT on this page, I don't agree. Different dogs have different amounts of personality and enjoy different amounts of attention from people. Two or three dogs with big personalities are a hoot to have around, and can sometimes be too much."
