SUBSTITUTING PREGROUND SPICES FOR FRESH
Preground spices are sometimes your best option (you're not going to make your own garlic powder, for example) and can always fill in for whole. Be aware that ground spices are more densely packed, so when substituting, reduce the amount significantly; roughly 25 percent less is a good rule of thumb.

DOMESTIC AIRLINES BAGGAGE REQUIREMENTS
In a review of the top 13 U. S. domestic airlines’ policy, the following are approximate rules of thumb for baggage. Checked baggage: Measure height, width & length (Including closed handle & wheels) should be no larger than 62 total inches (approximately 30” x 20” x 12”). 50 pounds appears to be the standard weight for checked-in baggage without an additional fee. Carry-on baggage: 45 total inches is the most common allowed size (approximately 21” x 14” 10”). As these are general rules of thumb for baggage, the flyer need to check their specific airline to see if the rules have changed.

5531 Electricity
HEARING AID BATTERIES
The standard zinc-air button cell batteries used in most hearing aids should last from 5 to 7 days, depending on 12v to 24v converter. Turning them off, when not in use, extends its lifetime up to 14 days. These batteries have a plastic tab that needs to be removed in order to discharge electricity to the hearing aid. Once the 12v to 24v converter is removed, oxygen in the air activates its operation. Resealing the battery after it had the plastic tab does not stop the flow of electricity. Shelf life of unexposed button cell batteries is about 3 years. I know about converter because I am a hearing aid user. Button cell batteries have other uses but people may not be aware of this information.
