FINDING MINUTES UNTIL SUNSET
To accurately find how much daylight is left while the sun is setting, simply raise your hand in front of you. Line your pinky up with the horizon and point your thumb into the sky. This creates your fingers to space evenly. Every finger is 15 minutes (if the sun is at your ring finger then there is 15 minutes left of daylight).

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FUSES
If you are having some sort of random electrical problem, CHECK YOUR FUSES. It's quick and easy to do, and it'll save you from paying some mechanic for half an hour of labor for doing something you could have done yourself. This is the problem more often than a lot of people might realize.

MULTIPLYING BY 9
To teach a kid how to multiply by 9, hold your hands out in front of you. If you bend down your third (3) finger, notice you have 2 fingers to the left and 7 fingers to the right. Thus, 9 x 3 = 27. If you have 0 fingers to either side, put a zero in its place. It works with all of them! (Thanks Dad!)

LIFETIME OF LEARNING
The "young" think they know everything. The "middle-aged" think they've learned everything. The "old" still have a lot to learn. No matter how old you are, there's always something new and interesting to learn.

MAN OVERBOARD
In a regular, stern drive motor boat, while traveling forward, if a passenger falls out, steer INTO him. The rear (propeller) swings away. Test this by tossing a float out, first steer into it, then try it again, steering away. Do it in that order because the float will not survive you steering away from it!

AVOID LOCKING YOUR KEYS IN YOUR CAR
If you drive a vehicle that has a remote for locking and unlocking your door, ALWAYS keep it on your keychain and use it to lock your car. That way, you'll never accidentally lock your keys in your car.
