COOKING AN EGG
Never boil an egg. An egg will cook nicely at 160 degrees F. without getting tough… water boils at 212 F. but the white of the egg gets tough at that temperature.

REUNIONS
People will often stay away from a 10th reunion if they are recently divorced, overweight or perceive themselves as less than successful. The 20 years don't care if they look like the QE2, they come barreling in.

WATERING YOUR LAWN
Early in the morning, walk across your lawn. The impressions from your feet should last only several seconds. If it takes longer for the grass to spring back, if it does at all, then it may need more water.

DETERMINING EFFECTIVENESS OF A CALCIUM TABLET
To see how long a calcium tablet will take to break up in your stomach, place a tablet in a few ounces of room-temperature vinegar and stir vigorously every five minutes or so. The tablet should disintegrate completely in 30 minutes or less. If a tablet remains mostly intact after a half-hour, chances are it won't be of any value to you.
