DIRECTION FINDING WITH THE MOON
North of the equator: if it's a "D" moon (waxing moon), the horns are aiming east. If it's a "C" (waning) moon, the horns are aiming west. South of the equator - just the opposite: "D" moons shoot west and "C" moons shoot east.

When lost, most people worry about what they are going to eat. You can last a long time without eating and for most people in typical "lost" situations, they will be found fairly quickly. First priority is shelter, then water.

Hold trouser waistband at sides and place around your neck. If the sides meet at the back of your neck, the trousers will fit your waist. Great for jumble sales and markets with no fitting room.
