THE COST OF MEASURING TIME ACCURATELY
Time (or its inverse, frequency) can be measured more accurately than any other physical quantity. For example, a two-dollar digital watch can easily be accurate to within 0.001 percent (one second per day), an accuracy that few other types of measuring instruments can achieve at any price.

ESTIMATING THE SPEED OF MORSE CODE

FILLING OUT A SURVEY
On a survey with rankings ranging from 1 to 5, when the responses are tabulated, 1 and 2 will probably be lumped together, as will 4 and 5. So don't waste effort deciding whether to put down a 1 or a 2.
