STARING AND OR TEETH BARING ( SMILING )
Staring and, or teeth baring (smiling) can be considered by animals, (humans too) to be an act of aggression. To see for yourself, if you have a pet dog or cat, try staring at them, see how they react. (or stare at a co-worker)...really weirds'em out...Do not try this with large livestock or wildlife unless you are a real fast runner or a good climber!

CATS IN THE MORNING
If you do not want to "wake up" meaning "getting out of bed" then,.... under no circumstances, let your cat see you open an eye. Fake sleep and he'll give up trying to get you to feed him...for a while anyway. If he sees an open eye, it's all over!

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAT & DOG PRINTS
The way to tell the difference between cat & dog paw prints is that dogs have "nails" (meaning they do not retract)...cats have "claws" that retract. A paw print made by a dog will have nail marks at the top of the paw pad impression, a cat will only have paw pad impressions. Except for the Cheetah which is the only cat with "

"..( and if what you are seeing are in fact Cheetah paw prints, I'd worry if I were you because I don't think you can run THAT FAST !)

CORRELATION BETWEEN WEALTH AND BRAGGING
The magnitude of a person's wealth is inversely proportional to the amount of time the person spends bragging to other people about how wealthy he or she is.

DETERMINING YOUR MAXIMUM SWIM SPEED
The maximum speed for a human swimmer is one body length per second. For sprints, all other things being equal, the tall swimmer has a distinct advantage. This is derived from Froude's Law which says that as you increase the length of a watercraft (including the human body) at the waterline, the drag decreases.

INTERPRETING FOREIGN UNIFORMS
The more that local police uniforms resemble military uniforms, the less liberal and democratic that country is likely to be.

MEASURING THE HEALTH OF CIVIL SOCIETY
If locals mark major events like weddings, sporting victories or the start of spring break by shooting off a couple hundred rounds of high-velocity ammunition, it's a sign that at the very least there's something wrong with the police department, if not the social contract.
