DETERMINING WIND DIRECTION
If you are flying over a rural area and need to know the wind direction at ground level, simply see which direction a majority of cows are facing. Cows normally stand so their back end is up-wind, and their heads face downwind.

HOW MUCH RAIN EQUALS HOW MUCH SNOW
Although it varies by the wetness of snow, you can estimate how much snow you might have had if temperatures were lower. 1" of rain is about equal to 10" of snow!

A whole number is evenly divisibly by 4 if the last two digits of the number represent a number divisible by 4. Example: 373,895,648 -> The last two digits, 48, when divided by 4 = 12. Thus 373,895,648 is divisible by 4.
