ADVERTISING VOLUME
If there are a large volume of advertisements for something, do not buy it. Good quality things speak for themselves AND you are not paying for advertising.

GOOD LISTENING
When listening to someone, change your gaze from one eye to the other and back. Do not stare at one eye. To get them to stop talking, stare at their mouths or at a spot on their foreheads right above their nose and eyebrows.

ESTIMATING PORTION SIZE
A smear of butter, peanut butter, mayonnaise or even a swipe through the brownie batter are high-fat calories. They add up and it's difficult to track them. But if the amount you eat matches the size of the top joint of your thumb, it's a teaspoon.

HOT AND CLD
In the first 24 hours after a tissue injury, keep the injury site cool/cold. After 24 hours, put on warmth for 30 minutes and then cool for 15. The initial cold will control swelling and the hot-then-cold will increase the circulaiton through the injury site to promote recovery.
