TIMING YOUR IGNITION
You can set your ignition timing very nicely by testing it on the road. Slowly advance the distributor until a slight ping can be heard when the throttle is suddenly opened at 30 miles per hour in high gear. Then retard the distributor just a bit until the ping disappears. This setting will be close to perfect.
