ESTIMATING THE WEIGHT OF A BROWN TROUT
You can estimate the weight of a brown trout if you remember that a 20-inch fish weighs 3 pounds and a 25-inch fish weighs 5 pounds. For every inch over 25 inches, add 1 pound to the weight of the fish. For example, a 27-inch brown trout weighs 7 pounds.
