Finding Things
WHERE DID I LEAVE THAT #!@%$* THING?
This assumes you had something in your hand just a few minutes ago. If you want to find it, the worst thing you can do is to turn the room upside down. You may well bury what you are looking for. Take a breath and think about where you have been, what you have been doing since the last time you had it in your hand. Look on top of tables, counters, book cases. Look on the FLOOR! Don't just MOVE things; if you DO move something, make certain you are not also moving what you ware looking for.
Frank Smith, Self-Employed, Scottsdale, AZ, USA

SWIMMING FOR EXERCISE
A swimmer needs to exert less energy than a runner to get the same aerobic benefit because his body is in a horizontal position and his heart pumps more blood per beat than it does when his body is upright. To calculate your ideal heart rate while swimming, subtract your age from 205 and multiply by .70. If your rate is higher than 205 minus your age times .85, you're working harder than you have to.

MAKING ELECTRICITY FROM COAL
It takes about a pound of coal to produce a kilowatt hour of electricity. Your electric bill will list the number of kilowatt hours you use every month. You can use this figure to find how much coal was burned to meet your demand for electricity.

BUYING MUSIC
If you like a new song when you first get it, you'll tire of it in four weeks; if you hate it at first, you'll like it in about six months; if you feel indifferent about it, you'll always feel that way.
