Some types of scenes are harder to shoot than others. For dialogue scenes, you will need to shoot about four feet of film for every foot you use. For scenes without dialogue, the ratio is more like two or three to one.

Traffic engineers have found that 85 percent of drivers will spontaneously drive at or below the safe speed, given ideal conditions (light traffic, dry pavement.) They will often clock traffic for awhile and use this rule to establish the speed limit.
