DETERMINING WHICH EYE IS DOMINANT
When sighting (with a gun for instance), you can easily determine with which eye you aim by making a circle with your thumb and finger and holding at arm's length away from you. Then with both eyes open, look at a distant object through the circle. Without moving your hand first close one eye and then the other. Whichever eye keeps the object within the circle is your dominant eye and should be used for sighting.

TELL STARS FROM PLANETS WITH BINOCULARS
While looking at the night sky with your binoculars pick out any object and watch it closely while you rotate the large end of the binoculars in a small circle. If you see a solid circle of light, it's a planet. If you see a broken line circle, it's a star. It also works when looking at incandesant bulbs(solid line) and flouresant bulbs(broken line).

REORDERING FORMS OR BROCHURES
A six months supply is an economic order quantity. It keeps you from ordering too frequently and therefore paying too much for them and it is a reasonable quantity to keep them from going stale and outdated on the shelf.

CONSULTING FOR PUBLISHERS
If small publishers contact you, they're usually short on time, money, or knowledge. If they call you more than once, they have boxes of unsold books in their garage. If they insist on hiring you, even if you decline, their partner is on their back about wasting money on the publishing venture.

WRITING
Limit yourself to one thought per sentence. The sentences will end up with different lengths, because some thoughts will be long and some short. The result will be a conversational tone.
