YO-YOING
There is a certain "tightness" which the string should be kept at. If you unwind a few inches of string and remove all tension from that few inches; and the string has a propensity to wind about itself, it is not at the right tension. About sixteen twists per inch is right for most strings.

DIRECTION CONVEYS TIME AND EMOTION
In advertising, art and photography, the direction the subject is looking or the flow of the composition can affect the tone of the image. Left is the past, right is the future, up is positive, down is negative. For example: a subject looking up and to the right is looking positively into the future.

AVOIDING TRAFFIC ANXIETIES
THEM: When someone is tail-gating your car, slow down. It's a safe bet they'll simply pass around yours. YOU: Always take your foot off the accelerator when you see a red light up ahead (no matter how far away). After all, why speed towards a red light? And don't count telephone poles; just stay way back of cars ahead of you. Rub elbows at parties; but be an island on the road.

INTERFACE DESIGN
When assessing software usability, if the most experienced business user in your test group can't figure out what to do on the screen presented, the interface isn't friendly enough.

JET AIRCRAFT CROSSING RESTRICTIONS
To calculate when to commence descent for an altitude crossing restriction: Drop last 3 zeros of the altitude change required. Multiply this number by 3. This figure represents the number in miles prior to the crossing fix necessary to safely arrive at the new assigned altitude.(Predicated on standard 2000 FPM ATC expectation for jet transport aircraft). Example: Cruising at 30,000 feet(FL 300) when
Omega Speedmaster réplique montre
issues the following: "Cross XYZ at 10,000 feet." 30 - 10 = 20. 20 x 3 = 60. Begin 2000 FPM descent 60 miles out. I add a 5 mile "cushion" and would start descent 65 nm from fix.
