MORSE CODE (TELEGRAPHY) SPEED
A simplified means of determining speed of Morse Code telegraphy is to count the number of dashes continually sent using consistent spacing between them in 5 seconds. From this you will derive the Morse Code speed in Words Per Minute. This method works best when using electronically generated keyer Morse telegraphy.

YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO WALK AWAY
You get your best deals if you are willing/able to walk away from the negotiation. Don't fall in love with the purchase, or let the seller know you are in love with the purchase.

MEASURING SERUM CALCIUM
In patients with low serum albumin, the true value for total serum calcium is approximated by subtracting the measured albumin from 4.0, multiplying the result by 0.8, and adding this result to the measured total serum calcium in mg per deciliter.

PARKING AT L.L. BEAN
If you're trying to park at L.L.Bean, drive through the small lot in front of the store. Chances are, someone parked there will be leaving. If you don't find a space the first time through, try a second time. After that, give up and park with the hordes.
