Ages and Stages
WHEN YOUR LIFE IS HALF OVER
Of most chronological autobiographies, written by people over age 80, the book's half way point is about Age 19. In other words, of all the things you'd care to tell your grandkids, half of them already happened by Age 19.
Douglas H. Hanbury, retired, East Peoria, IL, USA

HOW MUCH TO SPEND ON TRANSPORTATION
The total value of all your vehicles (including boats, all-terrain vehicles, etc.) should not equal more than half of your gross income. If you have that much of your money tied up in transportation, your budget for things like rent and food will be stretched way too thin

TALKING TO BABIES
Too much talking can overstimulate your baby, while too little can leave your child quiet and unresponsive. The optimum amount of time for baby talk is 25 percent to 30 percent of the time your infant is alert and responsive. If your baby is alert for half an hour, limit talk to seven to ten minutes.
