LOCKING UP YOUR BIKE
If using a "U"-lock, put the crossbar of the lock next to the frame (and the U part around the thing you're locking to). With enough leverage, thieves can pry open U-locks, but they are less likely to use the bike's frame for leverage as it will probably bend, rendering it useless to the thief.
