Childbirth
FOLLOWING LABOR
If a woman is in labor and you want to know if there is time to get her to the hospital, check for the child's head during a contraction. If you can't see it and it is the woman's first child, you have at least an hour. If you can see a quarter's worth, you have 20 or 30 minutes. If you can see a quarter's worth and she has had a child before, you don't have time.

CRACKING A SECRET CODE
If the high-frequency letters ETOANIRSH occur very often, in this order, you can assume that you are dealing with a transposition cipher in which the letters remain the same but are rearranged in a new pattern. On the other hand, the repeated appearance of low-frequency letters indicates that a message has been written in a substitution code.

ADJUSTING YOUR CAR SEAT
You should check your seat adjustment with your hands at the ten and two o'clock positions on the steering wheel. You should be close enough so that you can make almost a full half-turn of the wheel without having to lean forward or having your elbows touch your body.
