BATHROOM READING = POOR DIET
Reading material close at hand to the throne is a sign of dietary fiber insufficiency. You should be eating enough fiber that elimination doesn't leave you with time on your hands.

AVOIDING LIGHTNING
During a lightning storm, if the hair on your arms and head starts to stand on end, lightning is going to strike in your immediate vicinity. Drop to your knees and bend forward, putting your hands on your knees. Don't place your hands on the ground, or you will be vulnerable to ground current if a lightning bolt hits within 50 yards.
Scott Parker, quoting the National Fire Protection Association, Beaumont, Texas

Real Estate
SIZING-UP THE REAL ESTATE MARKET
To size up an area's real estate market, compare the difference between the original asking price and the final selling price on recent home sales. A difference of 1 to 4 percent means it's a seller's market. A difference greater than 5 percent means it's a buyer's market.
