CHANGING YOUR OIL
If your car holds 5 quarts of engine oil or more, change the oil every 3,000 miles. For every half quart less than 5 that your engine holds, decrease your between-change mileage by 500. For example, a car that has an oil capacity of 3 and a half quarts should have its oil changed every 1,500 miles.
