DRESS IN LAYERS, AVOID COTTON
For versatility dress in layers consisting of a base layer, mid(insulation) layer, and shell. The base keeps moisture away from your skin, the mid holds warmth, the shell keeps out the wind and rain. With these layers you can adjust zippers and combinations to adapt to the conditions. Avoid cotton; it loses its insulating properties. Synthetics work well for all layers, wool is one of the most versatile materials for mid and base layers (merino wool recommended for less itch).

WALKING WITH SMALL CHILDREN
When walking with small children who are falling behind, the slower you walk, the slower they will walk, until they stop. If you maintain your pace, they will keep up with you, albeit somewhat behind.

PERSONAL SPACE REQUIREMENT
Average personal physical space requirements for westerners: 24.5 inches on either side, 27.5 inches in front and 15.75 inches behind. Americans usually have larger personal space boundaries than people from other cultures. If you notice someone backing up a little while talking to you, don’t step toward them as they most likely feel uncomfortable with the lack of distance between you. People in high population areas require less personal space than those living in low population areas. People of higher status or wealth usually have larger personal space bubbles as well.

GIFTS OF THE GHETTO
The gifts of the Ghetto are small, but if you have cockroaches, you probably don't have ants; if you have mice you don't see any roaches; if you have rats, you don't have mice.
