DIRECTION FINDING WITH THE MOON
North of the equator: if it's a "D" moon (waxing moon), the horns are aiming east. If it's a "C" (waning) moon, the horns are aiming west. South of the equator - just the opposite: "D" moons shoot west and "C" moons shoot east.
