PREDICTING FAILURE OR SUCCESS.
Whether you think you can or you can't, your right. Henry Ford is credited with saying it but it's still a good rule today. We have a tendency to do things that would confirm our position of do ability. So, if it's something important that has to be done, assign it to someone that thinks it can be done.

LOOK FOR THE EXIT SIGN
When giving a speech in a public setting, speak directly to the red glowing exit sign. It's generally at the back of the auditorium/conference room. It's up high and easy to find. Plus you won't be distracted by looking in to the face of an audience member.

VERY FEW LIBERALS ARE INTERVIEWED
When interviewing guests or speaking of people in the news, the media/news will often label those people as "conservative", but almost never is anyone labeled "liberal".

USING FLASH
Amateur photographers typically use flash in dimly-lit areas and no flash in brighly-lit areas. Professional photographers often do the opposite, so the lighting is more uniform across the whole scene.

ATTENDING BROADWAY SHOWS
The first act of a Broadway show is an advertisement for the second act. If you reach the intermission hoping that the second act will be better, you should leave, because it never is.

MULTI-SPEAKER SYSTEMS IN HOME THEATERS
Multi-speaker systems for home theaters are a waste of money. These systems were designed for commercial movie theaters, which assume the speakers are placed many feet apart from each other. For a residential TV room, a pair of nice stereo speakers will suffice.

RESELLING THINGS ON THE WEB
Assume that a web sales transaction will take a half hour of your time. Therefore, don't bother selling any item that's worth less than a half hour of your time. Give it away (if you can do so at no cost) or throw it away (if you can't).
